Remix Revival on AO3 is a new panfandom remix exchange, welcoming both authors and artists! If you're unfamiliar with remix exchanges, the idea is that you take someone else's fic or art and write/draw it the way you would have.

[community profile] remixrevival is a chance to have your Sutcliff works remix, and remix others' if you sign up, with Sutcliff or otherwise!

To qualify for Remix Revival, you must have three 500 word fics, five 100 word fics, or three completed drawings in each fandom you request. The minimum wordcount for assignments is 1k, while art must be a complete piece. There will be a Madness round that allows sketches and shorter fics running from September 10-25.

Signups begin: July 15 (ongoing now!)
Signups end: July 30 11:59 PM ET
Assignments out by: August 5
Assignments due: September 10, 11:59 PM ET
Collection goes live: September 17
Remixers revealed: September 24

A white wolf, roses, and the text: Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia Feb. 13-15 / A Multi-Fandom Mini-Fest

Come create Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia - A Multi-Fandom Mini-Fest, February Thirteenth through Fifteenth!

Very relevant for many Sutcliff canons and for Sutcliff fandom in general!

Bullet points from the fest post:

- Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia is now in its sixth year of howling at the moon.

- Lupercalia is a classical Roman festival that took place around the Ides of February (Feb. 13-15th) celebrating fertility and the wolf who was the symbolic mother of Rome's founder.

- In the source canon (A Companion to Wolves), the wolves communicate their emotions with their bonded humans and the humans who are bonded to wolves in the same pack, up to and including causing them to have sex with each other. You don't have to read a specific book to write your own take on psychic wolves.

- If you're writing a story, aim for about 500 words. Ideally, there should be wolves in it. They should be psychic. They should at least have the potential of causing sympathetic lust in the humans, elves, or other species they're bonded to.

Check out the stories from Sutcliff fandom created for Lupercalia so far in this post. And remember: anything goes as long as you're having wolfy fun!

Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia is a multifandom minifest running February thirteenth through fifteenth. Come create Sutcliff fanworks with companion animals and sympathetic lust!

A white wolf, a pink heart, and the text: Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia - A Multi-Fandom Mini-Fest, February Thirteenth through Fifteenth

Briefly about the fest:

In the vein of A Companion to Wolves and similar epic fantasy, this is a fanwork challenge in which various characters are bonded to wolves. These wolves may be used in the Companion-verse manner, as warriors in the fight against trolls, or in more modern-day applications such as K-9 units of police forces, service animals for disabled characters, or any other application you can think of for psychic wolves. In the source canon, the wolves communicate their emotions with their bonded humans and the humans who are bonded to wolves in the same pack, up to and including causing them to have sex with each other. You don't have to read a specific book to write your own take on psychic wolves. Ideally, there should be wolves in it. They should be psychic. They should at least have the potential of causing sympathetic lust in the other species they're bonded to. Complete information here.

This fest is an opportunity to explore a plot device which meshes really well with wildly different settings and can be used for very different metaphorical meanings. Earlier (Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia is in its fifth year), four works in different Sutcliff fandoms were created:

Chosen by [profile] demon_rum (Eagle of the Ninth)
Pack Dynamics by [profile] demon_rum (Eagle of the Ninth)
The Wolf With No Name by [personal profile] sistermine (Eagle of the Ninth)
The Fond-Name by [personal profile] sineala (Frontier Wolf)

So, come create for Psychic Wolves for Lupercalia - A Multi-Fandom Mini-Fest, February Thirteenth through Fifteenth! And you are welcome to brainstorm and discuss your ideas in comments to this post in [community profile] sutcliff_space.
