(Frontier Wolf canon: there's a guy who's in charge of a Roman fort in the middle of nowhere, Britannia, and he's basically a baby fuck-up LT who loves his men but doesn't know shit but he earnestly tries to grow up; his heart is kind of tragically broken while fraternising with the enemy, but it gets better.)
